Connect Intrical DAM to Figma & WordPress

The focus of our May updates is making visual content workflows faster and more intuitive. Intrical DAM now features direct integrations with the tools marketing, social media, PR, and design teams use every day.

We have developed Intrical plugins for Figma and WordPress, allowing you to pull images and assets from your DAM library directly into design mockups and website content. There is no longer a need to switch between apps or waste time downloading, renaming, and re-uploading files. Now, images are “pulled” instantly from the cloud into your workspace.

Intrical DAM Plugin for Figma

The Figma plugin connects your Intrical.ai account directly to your workspace, allowing designers to access high-quality assets without leaving the visual editor.

How it Works

Users simply enter their DAM domain and log in. Once authenticated, you have full access to your Intrical.ai files, folders, and smart collections right inside the Figma sidebar.

  • One-Click Insertion: Add images directly from the asset card or the detailed info panel.
  • Smart Fills: If you select an object in Figma that supports fills (and isn’t text), the plugin automatically applies the image as a fill.
  • Auto-Layout: If no object is selected, the plugin creates a rectangle sized to the image and places it in the center of your current view.

Supported File Types

You can upload PNG, JPG/JPEG, SVG, WEBP, and GIF formats. Note: Figma has a 4096px limit on image sides. If your Intrical.ai asset is larger, you can use our built-in DAM tools to resize it or create a web-optimized version before pulling it into your mockup.

Search and Metadata

The plugin features advanced filtering by name, file type, and status. Designers can also view extended metadata—such as descriptions, author, resolution, and custom attributes. Product names or event details from these attributes can be copied directly onto the Figma layout, ensuring accuracy in your designs.

Intrical DAM Plugin for WordPress

Our new WordPress plugin allows content managers and site admins to pull media directly from Intrical.ai into the WordPress Media Library. This eliminates the need for local downloads, saving significant time for creative teams. In our testing, this integration doubles the speed of image publishing for articles.

By integrating your CMS with your DAM, you maintain a “Single Source of Truth.” All graphics are pulled from a central hub where they are already tagged and approved. When a file is updated in the DAM, your team can be confident that only the latest version is being used on the site.

  1. Direct CMS Access: A dedicated “Intrical DAM” button appears in the WordPress editor.
  2. Web Optimization (WEBP/AVIF): You can store high-res master files (PNG/JPG) in the DAM and pull them into WordPress as WEBP to optimize site performance. No external conversion tools required.
  3. Comprehensive Format Support: Beyond images, the plugin supports PDF, PPTX, DOCX, XLSX, as well as MP3, MP4, and WEBM files.
